Valletta Futsal Published on: 02-10-2012

Valletta F.C. have also widened their name by taking part in the first ever FMA league. This year is special to this sport in Malta, as it is the first year of the Futsal Malta Association which was founded in 2011.

An initiative from the association was that every team that was taking part in last year's futsal season must affiliate himself with an MFA club member. Rightly so Valletta St. Pauls managed to come in agreement with Valletta F.C. and so Valletta F.C are taking part in the FMA League 2012/2013 amongst the elite of Maltese Futsal in the Premier Division.

The team is practically new from that of last year's Valletta St. Pauls and we are looking forward for this new experience. Alongside Valletta Committee Member Kevin Gauci we are working as much as we could to keep Valletta's name as high as possible even in Futsal. There are quite a good number of players who are from Valletta and can feel the lion that roars when a good occasion comes. The team's coach is Kevin Loughborough a man who has a vast experience in Futsal.

Although we lost the first official match in the FMA Knock-Out against last year's runners-up and Super Cup Finalists Lija Athletic 5-0, we will not keep our heads down and we are looking forward to the first match of the league against the same Lija Athletic on the 12th October @ 8.00pm.

Last but not least I would like to encourage all the Valletta Supporters who are the 12th man in football behind the players in every match, to support the players who are also wearing the Valletta shirt and our beloved badge. Entrance for these games are free. On behalf of Kevin Gauci, coach and all the players we would promise you that we will do our best to keep Valletta's name as high as possible.
