Valletta added more foreigners to their line-up for the new season after agreeing terms with Gambia player Aziz Corr Nyang and Tunisian Abdelkarim Nafti. These two players left a very positive impression on coach Mark Miller during their trial.

29-year-old striker Aziz Corr Nyang started a trial with the Citizens squad just after the Europa League matched last month.

Aziz Corry Nyang, played with Swedish side Djurgarden earlier in his career. He signed a one-year deal with Valletta FC earlier last week.

32 year old Abdelkarim Nafti, produced some eye-catching performances during friendly matches which were played prior the opening of the season.

Nafti, made 9 appearances with the Tunisia national squad, he has also had spells with Saudi Arabian club Al Nasr and Al-Merreikh in Sudan. Last season, Nafti was on the books of Tunisian club, Club Africain.

With the arrivals of Nyan and Nafti Valletta’s list of foreign players comes up to eight.

The foreign line-up consists of:
Pietro Marino (Italian), Nyang and Hamzy (both Gambia), James Obaje (Nigeria), Jason Vande-lannoite (Belgium), Denni and Romulo Antoneli ( both Brazil) and Aziz Corry Nyang (Gambia)

New approved MFA rules for the 2013-14 season stipulate that Premier League clubs can have five non-Maltese players on the pitch at one time while a sixth foreigner can be listed among the substitutes in the same match.
