UEFA Europa League 2nd leg FC Minsk vs Valletta Published on: 25-07-2013

Valletta will be aiming for a positive result today as they take FC Minsk in the second leg of the second round of the Europa League at the Dinamo Stadion in Minsk kick-off 17:00hrs.
Last week the Citizens shared the spoils in a 1-1 result against FC Minsk. Minsk managed to open the score on the 5th minute when Hamza Barry fell Dmitry Gorbushin outside the box and, from the ensuing free-kick, Aliaksandr Sachyuka's shot sailed into the net at the near post after Valletta goalkeeper Pietro Marino appeared to have been wrong-footed by a feint from an FC Minsk player.
Valletta levelled matters following a mistake by Aliaksandr Sachyuka which proved costly as his mishit backpass was intercepted by the persistent Ryan Fenech who drove home from close range.
This is Valletta’s line-up for today’s match:
Goalkeeper: Pietro MARINO
Defenders: Ian AZZOPARDI, Jonathan CARUANA, Luke DIMECH, Jason VANDELANNOITE
Midfielders: Roderick BRIFFA, Dyson FALZON, Denni DOS SANTOS, Ryan FENECH, Hamza BARRY
Striker: Austin OBAJE
The referee of this evening’s match will be Alexander Kosta-dinov, from Bulgaria.
The winner of the match will meet St Johnstone or Rosenborg in the next round.
