St Andrews Summer Friendship Cup - Valletta 2 Sliema 0 Published on: 15-08-2015
Valletta won the St Andrews Summer Friendship Cup which was held at the Luxol Stadium yesterday evening. The Citizens eliminated Sliema Wanderers 2-0 in the final.
Following a goalless first half, the Citizens took the lead thanks to a Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza on the 59th minute. Luke Montebello scored another goal for the Citizens on the 82nd minute following a cross from the left by Abdel Karim Nafti.
After the game Parliamentary Secretary Chris Agius presented the cup to captain Jonathan Caruana.
