Scerri and Grima join Hamrun Spartans Published on: 05-07-2012
Valletta FC general secretary confirmed this morning that defender Massimo Grima and striker Terrence Scerri joined Hamrun Spartans on loan till the end of the season.
Massimo Grima 33, is a product of the Pieta Hotspurs nursery. In 1998 Massimo joined Sliema Wanderers, making a total of 127 appearances for the Blues. Massimo was loaned to Valletta FC in season 2003/2004 and 2004/2005. He joined Valletta FC on permanent basis from Sliema W. in sesaon 2005/2006. During season 2008-2010, Massimo was on loan with Mosta, Qormi and Hamrun Spartans.
A product of St. George's, Terrence Scerri made his debut in the Premier League with Hibernians FC on February 4th, 2001 in a match against Xghajra Tornadoes (4-0). He scored his first goal with the Paolities on January 26, 2002 against Marsa 3-2.
During his career with Hibernians, Terrence took part in 162 matches and scored 85 goals. In season 2008-09 he finished as top scorer of the Premier League with 26 goals. In July 2009 he signed a five-year deal with Valletta FC.
