Preview: Valletta vs Qormi Published on: 26-09-2014

Following a 5-0 result against Sliema last Sunday, our next opponent will be Qormi tomorrow at the National Stadium Ta Qali kick-off 19:00hrs.
Our 6th encounter is now due. With seven points from the first six matches, we will give this match a paramount importance in view that we are in need of the maximum points.
Qormi in the present are eight in the table with 7 points, they won three points against Naxxar Lions, were held in a draw against Sliema and lost against Hibernians, Balzan and Birkirkara respectivly. I consider Qormi as one of the most inconstant teams in the Premier league this season. Considering their fast attack, Qormi should be a team that it is never the end for them.
We on the other side, coming from a comfortable win against Sliema with a positive morale, will have more or less the same players available from our last week's game. The squad will be more or less the same as last week, Jonathan Caruana, Steve Borg, Christian Caruana, Ian Zammit and Karim Nafti are still recovering from injuries,. To be quite honest all the lads that were in the squad during the last game gave their 100% and more to the team, and that gave us some good positivity.
Qormi as usual, will defiantly prove to be another hard team to beat. The Yellows are expected to give us a good run for all they are worth and will surely try their best to obtain some possible points.
If we really expect to be serious contenders for the title, we shall have to work and make sure we do not drop any points from these games.
With your help our 12th men, I am quite sure that the targets we had projected some months ago will be in reach for us. Remember always these words, “THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN VALLETTA FC AND THE OTHER TEAMS IS, THE PRIDE AND SUPPORT’’.
Good luck to all of us.
