Preview: Day 29 vs Hibernians Published on: 04-04-2014

On Sunday Valletta will meet for the last time this season Hibernians FC, in a clash where Valletta should not lose any points from this game to keep the pace with B'Kara.

In our last encounter against Hibernians, we managed to secure the 3 points with a convincing win of 3-1. Sunday's game should be tough as from our side we need to keep marching behind B'kara and for Hibs a loss against us means jeopardizing their place in Europe next season.

After we played 28 games so far in this year's league campaign, we won nothing less than 20 games, drew 5 and lost 3 games. The difference in points is 5. We are unbeaten for the last 12 games this season, considering even that our defence is the strongest (conceded only 19 goals) and the second best goal scoring team, ironically we scored six goals less than our next opponent Hibs, therefore we must be the most quoted on paper in this match.

Tal-Pagun has to do without central defender Jonathan Pearson, which is banned for his fourth yellow card. On our side the coaches will not have any suspension problems for this game, although we have 5 players who collected 3 yellow cards. Regarding injuries, Aziz Corr Nyang is not hundred percent fit for this game and he is very doubtful that he recovers from the injury.

On a supporter side, I wish that this game ends on the brighter side and bring home with us another 3 points. B'Kara will be playing before our game against Mosta maybe who knows! Without doubt we shall only concentrate on our games only, we win all the remaining 4 games and we will be crowned as champions. For this crowning we need to have you all by our side, more than ever before. We need to see you there on the stands behind us! Chanting and supporting us as no one else knows how. You are always the 12th player, with you behind us no one is better than us.
