The second round of the BOV Premier League kicks-off this weekend.

The Lilywhites morale is sky-high after winning the Gozo Cup for the second consecutive season. The Citizen eliminated Hibernians (5-3) and won the final against Sliema Wanderers (3-1). During their match in the Premier League, Valletta were held in a draw against Balzan (1-1). Jean Pierre Mifsud Triganza opened the score for the Citizens on the 27th minute while Jose Armario Negrin levelled matters for Balzan from a penalty kick.

Mosta shared the spoils in a 2-2 result against Tarxien Rainbows during their last match. The Blues are currently fifth with 16 points. Last week Mosta secured the services of nineteen year old, Ivory Coast Youth international Seydou Mamba.

Valletta will be without the services of defender Ian Azzopardi, Ian is recovering from an injury while Dyson Falzon is doubtful. Defender Jason Vandelannoite is missing through suspension. Coach Danilo Doncic will have to do without defender Jonas Ekani Rodriguez missing through suspension.

The match is going to be played at the Hibs Ground, and is scheduled to kick-off at 16:00hrs.
