Preview: Day 10 vs Tarxien Rainbows Published on: 01-11-2013



Valletta will be hoping to keep the pace with leaders Hibernians tomorrow evening, when they take on Tarxien Rainbows in a delicate encounter.

During their last match Valletta made it three wins in a row when they eased past bottom-placed Rabat Ajax 4-1 at the Tedesco Stadium. The Citizens took the lead on the 12th minute when Abdelkerim Nafti sent a precise cross towards Denni and the Brazilian hammered his volley into the net.

The Citizens, who are second with twenty one points from nine matches, reduced the gap to two points between them and leaders Hibernians as the latter were held in a 2-2 draw against Hibernians.
Tarxien Rainbows are currently seventh with eight points. The Rainbows are coming from a 0-1 result against Birkirkara during their last match.

Mark Miller, the City’s mentor will have to do without Ian Azzopardi, the towering defender is recovering from an injury. Midfielder Hamza Barry  is also unavailable for tomorrow’s encounter, the Gambian midfielder picked up an injury during the last match against Rabat Ajax.

Rainbows coach, Clive Mizzi should have all players at his disposal.

The match will be played at the Centenary Stadium and it scheduled to kick off at 16:15hrs.
