Preview: 7th Match vs Birkirkara Published on: 05-10-2012

Valletta will be aiming at another three points this afternoon as they meet Birkirkara during the second match of today’s programme, kick-off 17:00hrs.
The Citizens are the only squad with maximum points following a 1-0 result during last Sunday’s match against Hibernians.
The City’s mentor Mark Miller will have to do without Midfielder Ryan Fenech, the international midfielder picked an injury during the last encounter against Hibernians, while Ian Azzopardi is still recovering from an injury, defender Ricardo da Rocha Filho will return with the squad after skipping the last two matches.
Birkirkara are currently in second place joint with Hibernians with 15 points. The Stripes ara will be all out for the three precious point to level points with the Citizens while Valletta will do their best to beat Birkirkara to open a six point lead over the same Birkirkara.
The Stripes returned to winning ways during the last match against Tarxien R. (4-1), following a successful start to the BOV Premier League, Birkirkara lost three points against Sliema Wanderers.
Coach Paul Zammit should have all squad available for today’s match.
Valletta and Birkirkara already met once last June during the Euro Challenge Cup, Valletta won the match (5-0). Steve Borg, William Barbosa, Michael Mifsud (2) and Denni Dos Santos were the scorers.
