Preview: 4th Match vs Melita Published on: 14-09-2012

After a 10 day break of the BOV Premier League due to the national team double fixture, on our next game we will meet the newly promoted Melita F.C.

This will be our fourth game this season. The amateurs played three games like all the other teams, of which they lost against Birkirkara and Hibernians while they drew against the other promoted team of Rabat Ajax. Melita conceded ten goals in their three outings but, surely they have a decent forward line as they scored not less than four goals.

On the other side we are currently in the second place (on goal average) as Birkirkara scored just one goal more than we did. This game against Melita should put us in the first place, as the stripes are meeting Floriana which on paper this game is tougher than ours.
Coach Mark Miller will be having the full squad available, with exception of Ian Zammit, who is recovering from an ankle injury and the Brazilian Leandro Almeida which is not 100% fit due to some muscular problems.

During the last matches we had a bit lack of our normal support (due to summer and hot weather) we expect you our beloved supporters to be there with us and giving your loyal support as you always did. This match comes on a special day for all of us, as our beloved president will be celebrating his birthday. So I am pretty sure that he will love to hear a big chant of happy birthday coming from the stand.

From here on behalf of all the players and staff I would like to thank this great man for the huge commitment he gives to our beloved club.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PRES.
Jerry
