Valletta will face Qormi this evening, in their third match of the BOV Premier League. Valletta will hope to keep their winning streak, in order to make them three wins out of three matches following a 1-0 result against Tarxien R. and 3-1 result against Mosta.

The Lilywhites are coming from a comfortable win against Mosta last Sunday. Michael Mifsud opened the score on the 14th minute, Ricardo Filho followed 10 minutes later, while defender Steve Borg made it three on the 39th. Obinna Obiefule reduced the gap for Mosta on the 44th minute.

Coach Mark Miller should have national team captain Michael Mifsud doubtful from today’s match, Michael is recovering from an injury he received during last Sunday’s match.

Qormi started their Premier League adventure on a positive note as they defeated Rabat Ajax 1-0 but lost 4-2 during their second outing against Hibernians. Gaetan Spiteri could start the match from the first minute after an encourage second half performance during the last match. During the final minutes of the transfer market, Qormi registered Triston Caruana on a one year loan.

The match will be played at the National Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 20:30.
