Preview: 2nd Match vs Mosta Published on: 25-08-2012

The second day of the 2012/13 season, Valletta will be facing Mosta FC on Sunday 26th August at 18:30 at the national Stadium Ta Qali.

Just a week after we won our first encounter against Tarxien Rainbows, our next opponents Mosta lost against Hibs, this match should be quite interesting for both teams for many reasons. After surviving from relegation in the last game of season 2011/12, Mosta built up a competitive squad this year and their aims are very high. They had registered some good and experienced players namely, Luke Dimech, Daniel Bogdanovic, Justin Haber, Daniel Mitev, Carlos Compagnoli and former Valletta player Ousseni Zongo, a good mixture which will surely make a good and competitive squad.

With all these inclusion in the Mosta squad, we are still the team to beat. Our great spirit which is reigning all over the squad gives us the faith and power to continue rolling and try to achieve as far as we can. Against Mosta Coaches Miller and Agius will be having all squad at their disposal. We will welcome back Jonathan Caruana who was our Saviour in last week's match by scoring the only goal after entering on the pitch as a sub.

Denni is even available for the coach after recovery from a knee knock, which kept him off the pitch for a couple of weeks. The squad is prepared for the coming fixture and hoping that we will not miss the three points available from this match.

As always, you our brave hearted supporters will be backing us up during this game. As I always said you are half of the air we breathe to fill our lungs during all our matches. As you always did, we pretend to have you there behind us and backing us throughout all the 90 minutes. Last game although you were there as usual, there were some couple of minutes that we thought we were alone... We need to hear your chants; we need to hear your voices as it gives all the players an extra gear to run more. I see you all there tomorrow.
