Preview: 24th Match vs Sliema W. Published on: 28-02-2013

On Saturday we will play the second from our ten finals to reach our target on the 4th of May. Our next opponents are nothing less than Sliema Wanderers.
The Blues are coming from a good win on challengers B'Kara and are currently sharing the third place of the table with 22 points with B'Kara and 4points less than Hibernians and Valletta. Sliema will surely give all teams in championship pool a bit of hard time to play against. They got stronger in the January window especially with the inclusion of our two players Ian Zammit and Shaun Bajada. Their number one post guardian Henry Bonello is still recovering from a matastrial bone operation and will not be in the squad for tomorrow's clash. Missing too will be their prolific forward Ivan Woods, which is ruled out through suspension after collecting the fourth yellow card.
On the other side, Valletta are looking forward to continue our positive walk and bring home with us nothing less than three points so we will strengthen our first place as the two teas behind us will be facing each other this weekend. Our Gaffer does not have injury problems except for Steve Borg which had been out for a long period of time while Abubakar Bello-Osagie will be included in the squad but is not 100% fit yet. Five of our players are currently on 3 yellow cards, so we must be very careful as not unbalance the team for our next game against Tarxien Rainbows.
The last but not least, you our loyal supporters, you must be there with us for every match that we play. Remember that without you our strength will not be the same. I understand that in the present there are lots of things going around, but remember that our team is there forever not only for some weeks. All of us need to be like a chain all connected one to the other so together our strength will be invincible. See you and hear you there on Saturday for this second final which will lead our way to REPUBLIC STREET on the 4th of May.
