Preview: 13th Match vs Mosta Published on: 22-11-2012

This is the second game of the second round. After four consecutive draws and a lot of confused and frustrating playing, we need this game to start again looking positive and get back to our winning ways like we were doing in the first part of the league. Although Mosta is a tough side, it is a must for us to pull up our socks and get out of this game with a hand full of points. We can be at the third place until tomorrow at 16:00 (of course with a game in hand), the place where till a month ago we never even thought of being. As I always said that is why football is nice as it is so unpredictable. From the positive side, getting these receiving these not so good results now, is better than receiving them at a later stage.

This week our coach together with the medical staff, got back on trail some important players such as, Ricardo and Dyson. On the other hand Steve Borg is still recovering from the knee operation that had two weeks ago. The only question mark that we have for this week's game is striker Michael Mifsud, he is still feeling a bit his groin, but he will be in the squad for tomorrow's game. As I stated before this is a must game and all the players are aware of this situation. This week's training was very intensive and all the clan is concentrating for this fixture.

On the other hand Mosta are coming from two negative results too. They lost to Hibernians last week and, to Birkirkara a week before. Standing in the fifth place with nineteen points the blues will be aiming for the three points from this encounter, as to keep open the chance to finish the second round with the first six and so play in the championship pool.

I understand the feelings all of our supporters are having since the team is passing from a not very positive moment! I understand too that you are feeling down and, maybe do not have the appetite to continue giving us the 100% support due to the dull moment that we are passing through. Although all these negative situations are surrounding us at the moment, I always try to get out the positive side from the negative. Let us all remember that we are the only unbeaten team this season. We scored the most till now. We did concede the least from all the premier league teams!

And we are very lucky to have a PRESIDENT and the committee surrounding him which are the best in Malta. All the players and staff will be waiting to hear your chants again from our stand in Ta Qali, and give us the breath and the energy that we need to get back on our feet and show everyone that we are the best and the BEST OF ALL.
