Preview: 12th Match vs Tarxien R Published on: 17-11-2012

Valletta hope to return to winning ways tomorrow following three consecutive draws against Rabat Ajax, Balzan and Sliema Wanderers during their last three matches. The Citizens face Tarxien Rainbows at the Hibs Stadium kick-off 16:00 hrs.
Valletta ended the first round at the top of the Premier League table but managed to obtain only three points from their last three games. The Citizens might move to the second place on Saturday as second placed Birkirkara face Melita.
Valletta will have to do without defender Steve Borg, still recovering from knee surgery while wing-back Dyson Falzon is also sidelined with injury. National team captain Michael Mifsud will return tomorrow as he has recovered from a slight groin injury.
Tarxien Rainbows are keen to get back to winning ways after their 2-1 defeat to Qormi last week, ended a run of four matches without a defeat. Defender Carlo Mamo will be missing tomorrow’s match as he has a tear in his groin while Manuel Caruana and Roderick Bajada are both doubtful.
During the first meeting between the two teams, Valletta won the three points thanks to a header by Jonathan Caruana on the 68th minute from a Joao Gabriel corner kick.
