Preview: 11th Match vs Sliema W Published on: 08-11-2012

Valletta and Sliema W. face each other today evening in a delicate encounter kick-off 20:15hrs at Victor Tedesco Stadium.
Valletta are coming from a two deluding results against Rabat (1-1) and another 1-1 draw last week against Balzan. Definitely the Citizens will aim at obtaining the three points in order to continue rowing ahead over B’kara and the same Sliema W. We should end the first round on the high note, which will help us start the second round on a good note.
Coach Mark Miller, still have some problems with injuries that hit our clan in the last couple of weeks. We have to make us without our rock Steve Borg as tomorrow he will be undergoing a small surgery in his right knee. Steve will be joining again the squad later next week to start again training. International striker Michael Mifsud will be missing too for this match as he is suffering from a groin pain and need to rest for the coming week. Even Dyson Falzon will be missing again this game as he is recovering from a tight hamstring injury. On the other hand we will be welcoming back Ian Azzoppardi which is back after a long injury.
Sliema Wanderers are coming from two positive results. They beat Melita with the convincing score of 4-0 and last weekend won against Hamrun 2-1.They are currently joint third with Hibernians and Mosta all with 19 points. It seems that Sliema are getting better every game that pass, especially when they play in the Hamrun Ground.
Although the last couple of games were not the finest, you were still there behind us, and I know you will be there again with us today. TOGETHER WE STAND DIVIDED WE FALL.
