Valletta are buoyed by the return of key midfielder Roderick Briffa ahead of this tricky test against Tarxien Rainbows.
Briffa served his one-match ban in City’s hard-fought win over Mosta which moved them six points clear at the top of the table.
Despite his team’s advantage, coach Paul Zammit will not tolerate any complacency as Valletta face a tough title run-in, starting with this afternoon’s game against the Rainbows who have caused a few
problems to the top sides this season.
Brazilian wing-back Romeo Romao is out of the equation for Valletta due to suspension while Italian midfielder Claudio Pani is doubtful after suffering a rib injury against Mosta last month.
Tarxien are boosted by the return of wing-back Alex Alves, who has completed a three-match ban, but Sergio Prendes is still suspended.
