Champions Valletta will be hoping to extend their unbeaten run to ten matches on Saturday as they take on Tarxien Rainbows at the Centenary Stadium, kick-off at 16:15.
The Citizens lie two points behind joint-leaders Gzira United and Hibernians and a win on Saturday would enable them to take sole leadership, at least temporarily before Sunday’s matches when both the Maroons and the Paolites will be in action. Valletta won eight out of the last nine matches, defeating St. Andrews 1-0 in their last league outing. Last week, they eliminated Marsa from the FA Trophy beating them 3-0.
Tarxien, on the other hand, are currently eighth on fifteen points. They won three out of the last four matches, defeating Pietà 3-0 in their last league match. In the FA Trophy, they beat First Division side Vittoriosa Stars 3-0.
