Preview 24th Match vs Birkirkara Published on: 16-03-2012

In the opinion of most, this coming game against B'kara is one of the toughest games from the 9 last final games that we have in front of us. A win against this year's inconsistent B'kara team, will surely give us a deep breath. The only advantage that we have this weekend is that we will know the result of our rivals Hibernians, as they will be playing Floriana in the game before us.

B'kara coach Paul Zammit, will be having all players for his disposal, as it seems that they have no injuries, and no players suspended. Although they are nothing less than 10 points behind us, still, this game is very important for us to take back home with us the 3 points and to keep our first place. In their last 3 matches B'kara won these matches with the identical score of 3-1. On the 18 of February they won against Tarxien. After the international break on the first week of March they won against Hamrun, and 3 days ago they beat Floriana again with the same score of 3-1. Till the last game B'kara scored 37 goals and we scored 59, they conceded 30 goals while Valletta conceded only 19.

From my point of view, all our players will be available for coach Jesmond, with the only question mark will be our forward Micheal Mifsud, which picked a muscle injury last Monday during our session training. We will be recovering back Mady after recovering from a knock against Floriana two weeks ago. After beating Balzan with the convincing score of 7-2, the group is well united and looking forward to achieve our May's target. Our wide range of players when it comes to a selection, continues to make us the favourites even for this coming fixture of tomorrow, but having said that the best team on paper does not resolve the outcome of any game.

At the end but not last, YOU our twelfth player, we will be needing you once again to help us resolve this coming match with your support as you do always. YOU are our extra lung, and with your support we will fill our other two lungs with more air that give us more strength. I hope that tomorrow you will all be there, so that together we show all our critics that we are a tight and strong chain together.

Thank you.
