Valletta FC has just signed Brazilian left winger Paulo Candido Serafim de Cruz (Lico).
Lico was on trial for the last 2 weeks and he impressed the coaching staff, so the club decided to give Paulo a one year contract with a club's option for the second year.
29 year old Paulo Candido played with Esporte Clube Democrata in Portugal in 2005. He moved to Brazil in 2006 and played with América Mineiro and Valeriodoce Esporte Clube. In 2007 he returned to Portugal and joined Atlético Vadevez. In 2008 Lico joined Santa Clara, a Portuguese football club from Ponta Delgada.
In summer 2011 Lico moved to Macedonia and joined FK Vardar, a club based in the capital city of Skopye.
