Taisei Marukawa

Valletta FC completed the signings of Serbian central defender Mihailo Jovanovic and Japanese left winger Taisei Marukawa.
 
Thirty one year old Mihailo Jovanovic started his career at Sloboda Uzice and later played for Mladost, Sloga Pozega and Jedinstvo Uzice in Serbia, 1.HFK Olomouc, MFK Karvina and Zbrojvka Brno in the Czech Republic before returning to Serbia to join Vozdovac. Jovanovic had spells with Neman Grodno in Belarus and Taraz in Kazakhstan, returning to Serbia to join FK Indjija.
 
On the other hand, twenty three year year old Taisei Marukawa has moved to Malta in January 2019 to join Senglea Athletic where he spent the last eighteen months. Earlier he played for KELT FC, Hiroshima Minami HS and Chuo University.
 
Valletta, who has earlier appointed Jesmond Zerafa as their new coach, had signed Taylon Nicolas Correa Marcolino.
