Mark Miller and Gilbert Agius will lead Valletta next season Published on: 08-06-2012

During the Annual General Meeting held yesterday at St Albert College, club president Mr. Victor Sciriha revealed that Mark Miller will be the new coach, he will be assisted by Gilbert Agius. The first training session is going to be held next Wednesday as the players will resume training for the forthcoming Euro Challenge Cup.

A large number of supporters attended the Annual General Meeting and after the meeting supporters voted for the new committee. Voting will continue today, Friday 8th June at the club’s premises from 5.00 – 8.00pm.

Club president Mr. Victor Sciriha revealed that William Barbosa and Denni Dos Santos will also form part of the foreign players next season. Another three foreign players from Brazil will also join the Citizens squad. Goalkeeper Andrew Hogg will not guard the posts for the coming season as his contract has expired and the negotiations between the two parties failed.

William Barbosa was voted as the Club’s Player of the Year with 65% of the votes, Denni Dos Santos received 25% while Gilbert Agius received 10%. Voting took place on the club’s official website. During yesterday’s Annual General Meeting, supporters were also updated by live feeds on the club’s Facebook page.
