City’s influential captain and midfielder, Ryan Fenech received a one match suspension by the MFA Disciplinary Commissioner today. International defender Jonathan Caruana received a two-match suspension.
Ryan was giving marching orders by the referee after receiving a second yellow card, while Jonathan Caruana was shown a straight red card after he was adjudged by referee Mario Apap to have raised his foot at Marcelo Dias during a challenge involving both players during last Sunday’s top of the table clash between Valletta and Hibs.
Captain Ryan Fenech, will miss the next match against Sliema Wanderers while Caruana will miss the next two matches against Sliema Wanderers and Qormi.
