Camilleri and Frendo on loan with Hamrun and Pieta Published on: 15-08-2012



Midfielder David Camilleri and Cleaven Frendo joined Hamrun Spartans and Pieta Hotspurs on a one year loan.

David Camilleri 37, is a product of the Hamrun Spartans Nursery. During his career David played with Hamrun Spartans, Sliema Wanderers, Marsaxlokk and Hibernians. In 2006, David joined Valletta FC and made a total of 64 appearances with the White shirt.

In season 2009-2010 he was on loan with Tarxien Rainbows and the following season he was on loan with Hamrun Spartans.


Cleavon Frendo started his career in 2000 with Pieta Hotspurs. During season 2002-2003 he was on loan with Lija Athletic. In season 2006-2007, he formed part of the squad that won the championship with Marsaxlokk FC.

In June 2008, Cleavon Frendo joined Valletta FC, making a total of twenty appearances and scoring two goals.

Frendo made his debut for the Citizens on 25 August 2008, coming on as a substitute on the 76th minute in a  Premier League match against Sliema Wanderers (1-1).

In season 2010-2011, Frendo joined Qormi FC on loan and during season 2011-2012, Cleaven joined Sliema Wanderers on a one year loan.
