Briffa and Agius sign a three-year contract Published on: 12-07-2013
Valletta FC team manager confirmed this morning that international midfielder Roderick Briffa and midfielder Edmond Agius have put pen to paper on a three -year deal.
A product of Birkirkara F. C. Youth Nursery, Briffa started his career with his home-town club in 1998. In season 2001-2002 Briffa joined Pieta Hotspurs on loan. He returned back with the stripes in season 2002. He made a total of 105 appearances for the Stripes before joining Sliema Wanderers in summer 2007. In season 2010/11, Briffa won the MFA footballer of the year. Roderick joined Valletta F.C. in January 2009.
Edmond Agius (il-Mundu) began his football career playing for Hibernians and made his debut in the Premier League in 2005. With Hibernians he played a total of 41 matches and scored three goals.
Edmond joined Valletta FC in June 2008.
