BOV Player of the Month Michael Mifsud wins award for August Published on: 01-09-2017
Valletta FC’s international striker Michael Mifsud has been named BOV Player of the Month for August.
Born on the 17 April 1981, Michael Mifsud plays as a striker. He joined Valletta FC in January 2016 transfer market.
Michael scored a gem of a goal against Senglea Athletic with an audacious back-heel on the 33rd minute last week
Michael Mifsud made his debut with the national team on the 10th of February 2000 against Albania in a friendly, and has been instrumental in some of Malta’s more recent significant fixtures such as the victory against Hungary during the Euro 2008 qualifiers and scoring five goals in a 7-1 friendly victory over Liechtenstein; Malta’s biggest win. During his 127th national team cap, he scored a total of 40 goals at International level.
