Valletta unveil Ryan Fenech

A large crowd of Valletta fans turned up to greet Ryan Fenech this evening as the Malta midfielder was officially unveiled as City's latest signing at a news conference held at the Premier League club's premises.

Ryan Fenech, who has signed a five-year deal with the Citizens, thanked club president Victor Sciriha and also all the committee members for their help in this transfer. He also thanked the coach and players for welcoming him into the squad.  

"Hope I will be a great asset to the squad so that we will celebrate together," Fenech said. "I already feel comfortable with the rest of the players."

Victor Sciriha, the Valletta president, admitted that he has been chasing Ryan for the last five years.

"I believe that Ryan’s skills will in the future transform him into one of the leading players in our squad."

"During the negotiations between the two clubs Ryan promised me that if he does not join Valletta he will stay with his club"

Club President Victor Sciriha thanked Sandro Ciliberti for his help during the transfer of Joseph Okonkwo to a foreign team. Anderson Antunes, the new foreign player will arrive tonight, all the essential documents have already arrived and his registration will be filed at the MFA next Monday.

Fenech will wear the no.6 shirt with Valletta and will be available for tomorrow’s match against Sliema Wanderers.
