During a press conference held yesterday at the club's premises the Citizens president Mr. Victor Sciriha announced the launch of a mobile telephony service for all supporters under the name of Valletta FC Mobile.
Mr. Sciriha explained that this was an ambitious project for the club. The telephony service will be provided over the Vodafone Network. Sciriha explained that those who register by the end of the year will be receiving a free SIM together with free calls and sms till the end of the month. Calling r ates will be among the best on the island with calls from Valletta FC Mobile to Valletta FC Mobile costing 8c per 30 seconds and those from Valletta FC Mobile to other networks costing 16c per 30 seconds.
All subscribers will also benefit from the same offers offered by Vodafone throughout the year. Valletta fans willing to join Valletta FC Mobile can apply from the club premises or during the Valletta FC 2010 Calendar launch held at the club’s premises next Friday at 7.30pm.
The service will be fully available from the 3 rd week of January. Top-up cards for the Valletta FC Mobile can be purchased from all outlets selling Vodafone top-up cards.
Mr. Victor Sciriha also announced that a lucky subscriber who joins Valletta FC Mobile can also win a trip to watch Valletta in action abroad in a European competition next summer.
Malcolm mallia speaking on behalf of Aspider Solutions - an international company providing solutions for Mobile Virtual Network Operators said that the company has invested a lot in this field in the last couple of years.
