Preview U*Bet FA Trophy Valletta vs Hibernians

‘After the magnificent display that we managed to produce against the neighbours, here comes our first outing in this season's F.A. Trophy Competition, a trophy which is presently in our cabinet and will hopefully remain there for the next twelve months’ team manager Jesmond Zammit told Valletta FC.net

‘Hibernians will surely approach this match with utmost determination knowing that winning this competition is their only chance of participating in European Football. As it seems, they are expected to have all their players at their disposal for this match. A probable Hibernians formation  ( 4 - 2 -3 -1 ) would feature Muscat in goal, Camilleri, Xuereb, Pearson and Pulis at the back, Hart and Osei as holding midfielders , Herrera , Taki and Cohen as offensive midfielders with Paul Mcmanus as their main striker’.

‘On the other side, we shall face this match with the usual offensive attitude obviously determined to proceed on the same track in making this a memorable season for all involved. Valletta should have all their players available for this match with the sole exception of International defender/midfielder Roderick Briffa who is still recovering from a hamstring injury which he had picked up against Birkirkara. A victory tomorrow would see us through with the last four with an increased opportunity of collecting all the silverware at stake this season’.

‘My real usual word of appeal to our beloved supporters.  How happy I was at the end of the Floriana match last weekend seeing you all let out that pressure through the cheerful hymns that we are all well known and famous for. I told you that all those wishing to see us fail again this year would have to divert their hopes elsewhere. REPUBLIC  STREET is going to be the Venue where the Celebrations will take place this May.  Our main objective will be to make this season ONE TO REMEMBER. See you at Ta Qali tomorrow............................ whoops......... please  please please do try and direct all the support towards our own players and  team . This would ensure that the Club's cashier would be a much happier fellow at the end of this month’.
