The U*Bet F.A. Trophy resumes this weekend.Valletta will be facing rivals Birkirkara on Saturday at 16:30hrs at the National Stadium. This will be the second match on the programme following the Hamrun Spartans vs Sliema Wanderers match. The Citizens are currently second in the BOV Premier League table with 29 points. Valletta lost three important points in the race for the Championship against Birkirkara last Sunday.
Coach Ton Caanen should have full squad at his disposal for Saturday’s match. Birkirkara will have to do without striker Sylvano Comvalius who sustained an injury during the last match.
Valletta and Birkirkara already met three times this season, the Citizens won the three points (2-0) and (3-1) in the Euro Cup and in the Premier League first round while in the secound round the game ended in a 1-1 result.
