Preview: National League 100 Anniversary Cup Semi Final Published on: 23-03-2010
Valletta and Tarxien R. face each other in the semifinals of the National League 100 Anniversary Cup tonight Kick-off 20:00hrs.
These two teams already met three times in the Premier League this season, the first two matches ended in a draw while in the second phase encounter the Citizens won the three points 6-2.
Valletta reached the semi finals after eliminating Hibernians 2-0, while Tarxien R. eliminated Lija Athletics 2-0.
Ton Caanen, the Citizen’s coach should have full squad for tonight’s match, Kenneth Scilcuna returns in the heart of the City’s defence after serving a one-match suspension. International striker Michael Mifsud will also make his debut in these semi-finals.
Tarxien Rainbows are coming from a 3-3 result against leaders Birkirkara in the BOV Premier League, while Valletta won another three points against Qormi 3-0.
