Valletta will start their commitments in the National League 100 Anniversary Cup this evening as they face Gozo FC. The Citizens had been scheduled to make their debut in this competiton last month but their clash against Gozo FC was postponed several times.
Coach Ton Caanen is expected to field defender Steve Borg for tonight’s match. Roderick Briffa is unavailable for tonight’s game; he is still recovering from an ankle problem. The City’s captain is also doubtful for this match; he is also recovering from an injury.
The Citizens will meet Vittoriosa Stars in the fourth round of the competition if they win this encounter against Gozo FC.
