Championship Pool Day 28: Valletta vs Hibernians
The BOV Premier League comes to the end next Sunday. Leaders Hibernians and Champions Valletta face each other in a big clash which will decide the title. Hibernians won three important points against Birkirkara last Monday 4-0 while Valletta lost their last encounter against Marsaxlokk 1-2.
The Citizens were coming from a series of five positive results in the final stage of the Championship pool. Striker Paulo Massaro and Cleavon Frendo are both missing for the Citizens. Both players are recovering from long time injuries. Striker Terence Scerri is doubtful for Sunday’s encounter. The international striker is recovering from an injury.
Valletta and Hibernians already met three times this season, Valletta won the last two encounters 2-0, 2-1 respectively while in the first match played last September the two teams shared the spoils in a 1-1 result.
