Championship Pool Day 27: Valletta vs Marsaxlokk
Valletta face opposition from fourth placed Marsaxlokk tomorrow at 17:00hrs. Finally the Citizens are currently leading the BOV Premier League table with 39 points, a point more than second placed Hibernians. The Paolities were held in a goalless draw against Sliema W. last Monday while Valletta won the three points against Floriana 2-0 last Saturday. The Citizens are coming from five consecutive wins.
Marsaxlokk are coming from a series of positive results, last week they shared the spoils in a 2-2 results against Birkirkara. Marsaxlokk are in need of more points in order to qualify for next Summer's UEFA Europa League. For tomorrow’s match coach Patrick Curmi should have full squad at his disposal.
Valletta will have to without Brazilian striker Paulo Massaro and Cleavon Frendo. Both players are currently recovering from long term injuries.
Valletta and Marsaxlokk already met three times this season. Valletta won all encounters against the Southseasiders 2-0, 1-0, 1-0 respectively.
