Championship Pool Day 22: Valletta vs Marsaxlokk
Valletta take on Marsaxlokk tomorrow at 17:00hrs. The Citizens are coming from a goalless result against Floriana last Saturday. The Lilly Whites lie second in the BOV Premier league table with 24 points, six less than leaders Hibernians.
The Southseasiders lie fifth in the BOV Premier standings after registering their first win in the Championship pool last Sunday against Birkirkara 2-1. Valletta will have to do without several players for tomorrow’s match. Roderick Briffa, Ian Zammit and goal keeper Andrew Hogg are all suspended after collecting their fourth yellow card last Saturday. Midfielder Stefan Giglio and Cleavon Frendo are both missing through injury.
During the last match played between the two teams in the Premier League first phase, Valletta won the three points 1-0.
