Championship Pool Day 20: Valletta vs Hibernians.
The BOV Premier League resumes this weekend with matches on Saturday and Sunday. Valletta face Champions Hibernians on Saturday at 16.00hrs at the National Stadium.
Hibernians are coming from a narrow win against Qormi (1-0), they are currently fourth in the league standings with 17 points. Valletta are coming from a comfortable victory against Tarxien Rainbows (6-2). The Citizens are currently joint leaders with Birkirkara, both teams made clear intensions last weekend when the first round of matches from the Championship Pool were played. The two rivals returned home with three precious points in their bags to maintain their march at the top of the standings.
Both coaches should have full squad at their disposal. A win for Valletta, is essential to keep the top spot. In the last match played in January, Valletta won the three points 4-2.
