Day 16: Valletta vs Qormi
Following a short break due to the U*Bet FA Trophy quarter finals, the BOV Premier League resumes this weekend. Valletta FC face Qormi tomorrow at 14:00hrs at the National Stadium. Following a hard fought win against rivals Floriana in the quarter finals of the U*Bet FA Trophy, the Citizens will be sure aiming for the three points which will put them on top of the BOV Premier League table.
Qormi were awarded a 2-0 result against Floriana this week following a protest which was lodged against the eligibility of Paolo Rogerio Da Silva. Following this result Qormi move to seventh with 13 points. Stefan Giglio is missing for the Citizens after seeing red in the last match against Msida SJ. Keith Fenech and Adrian Ciantar should return for Qormi after serving a one-match suspsension.
In the last league match played between the two teams, Valletta won the three points 2-0, goals by Njongo Priso and Gilbert Agius.
