Day 06: Valletta vs Hibernians
Valletta will meet champions Hibernians in the top clash of the weekend this evening at the National Stadium kick off 19.30hrs. On Monday the Citizens moved to the top of the BOV Premier League table after beating Qormi 2-0.
On their last match Hibernians and Birkirkara shared the spoils in a 2-2 result. Striker Andrew Cohen is missing for the Paolities, Cohen got injured during the National team’s match against Portugal. Defender Jonathan Caruana and Ben Camilleri are also missing through injury.
Coach Ton Caanen has full squad available for today’s match. Jordi Cruyff and Dyson Falzon are expected to be called for this evening’s encounter after skipping last Monday’s match. Meanwhile top scorer Terence Scerri was yesterday named BOV player of the month for September.
