Day 03: Valletta vs Sliema W.
The BOV Premier League resumes tomorrow following a short temporarily suspension which was imposed by the MFA. Two teams from the First Division Msida SJ and Hamrun S. will replace the two teams that were relegated from the Premier Division.
Valletta will meet Sliema W. tomorrow at 19:30 hrs at the National Stadium. Valletta are coming from an excellent performance against Rivals Floriana (6-0). Sliema W. failed to obtain the three points on their last match against Qormi FC (0-1).
Coach Ton Caanen should have all the City’s players at his disposal tomorrow.
Ivan Woods returns for the Blues after recovering from an injury. Sliema registered a new striker Henry Isaac last week, the German striker will make his debut tomorrow. Defender Josef Mifsud will also make his debut against his former team Valletta tomorrow.
The last meeting between the two teams took place during the final of the U*Bet FA Trophy, Sliema W. claimed the Trophy following a penalty shoot out.
