Parma to play against Valletta and Hibs in a one day tournament Published on: 16-12-2009
Valletta FC together with Hibernians FC will take part in a Christmas Cup triangular tournament on December 30. These two teams will also play against Italian Serie A Parma who will be travelling to Malta to conduct a training camp at the Hibs Ground.
The Christmas Cup triangular tournament will feature three matches of 45 minutes each. Valletta and Hibernians will play in the opening match kick off 20.00hrs. The losing side will then face Parma in the next match. The visitors will then play the winner of the first game in the 3rd fixture of this competition.
Club President Mr. Victor Sciriha said that this was not the first time that Valletta FC faced an Italian opposition during this time of year, two years ago the Citizens beat Juventus in the Bet Fair Cup and last year Valletta FC played against Ancona in another tournament.
