Gilbert Agius: pride as City hero clocks 400 League appearances Published on: 22-04-2010

Gilbert made his League debut as a 16 year old against Sliema Wanderers on the 2nd day of September 1990, when the City Coach Mr. George Busuttil introduced him as a substitute. Ever since then, Gilbert's name has been indelibly linked with the City and apart from a brief spell with A.C. Pisa, he has never seen himself playing for any other club. It is almost difficult for him to even contemplate.
Times may have changed but Gilbert Agius certainly hasn't and tomorrow he will join the 400 club-there can be no more fitting Tribute than to say he undoubtedly belongs there.
