Gilbert Agius: BOV player of the Month for March
The 'BOV Player of the Month' award for March was won by Valletta skipper and Captain Gilbert Agius.
Gilbert was voted Player of the Match in Valletta’s matches against Birkirkara and Floriana respectively. Although in the veteran stage, the Valletta forward is still displaying great qualities with exquisite touches of experience when laying inviting balls for his colleagues to score. Gilbert still remains a great asset to the Citizens squad. This season he propelled his team's collective qualities to very satisfactory levels.
Gilbert Agius is the only player to win the MFA Footballer Of The Year on three occasions’ (1996/1997,2000/2001, 2006/2007) and also managed to win the Top Scorer award in 1998/1999 with twenty goals.
