Abubakar Bello-Osagie joins Valletta FC Published on: 31-01-2013


Valletta concluded the transfer of Abubakar Bello-Osagie from Qormi FC this evening. The 24 year old striker joins Valletta on loan from Qormi till the end of the season.

The Nigerian born striker started his career with Bendel Insurance Football Club, a football club based in the city of Benin Nigeria. In 2005 Abubakar left Bendel and joined River Plate in Argentina. After four months playing for the club from Buenos Aires, Abubakar joined Brazilian club Internacional in 2006.

Bello-Osagie joined Vasco a club based in Rio de Janeiro in December 2007. On July 17, 2008, he stayed on the bench for the first time, against Goiás, playing his first professional league match as a Vasco player on July 20, 2008.

On April 29 2009, Abubakar joined Caxias another Brazilian football club from  Caxias do Sul, Rio Grande do Sul.

In the summer of 2010 Abubakar come to Malta and joined Qormi FC. In November 2010 he was voted BOV Player of the Month for October.
